In brief: Three Saints Row games are still on sale in November 2026: Saints Row: The Third Remastered, Saints Row IV: Re-Elected and the 2022 Saints Row reboot. For most players the best buy is The Third Remastered. It is the best-reviewed modern entry, comes with all its DLC, and on 1 November 2026 cost $4.49 on PlayStation Store US (list $29.99, sale until 5 November). It also arrived on iPhone, iPad and Android on 29 October 2026 for $19.99. Buy IV Re-Elected next if you want superpowers. Pick the 2022 reboot only if you want the newest game and can live with a weaker story.

Saints Row is the open-world crime series that chose comedy over realism. Volition made it from 2006 until Embracer closed the studio in August 2023, and the series has had no new game since the 2022 reboot. Two things make it worth revisiting now: Feral Interactive's new mobile port of The Third Remastered, and deep sales on PlayStation that run until 5 November 2026. This explainer covers what each game is, how the series got here, what every version costs around the world and which one to buy. The Saints Row game page keeps the full price table, and every code is on our Saints Row cheats page.

The older two games are one continuous story. The Third has the Saints, already celebrities, losing everything and rebuilding in Steelport against the Syndicate. Saints Row IV picks up with the Boss as President of the United States, then drops you into an alien simulation where you sprint up skyscrapers and throw telekinetic blasts. The 2022 game is unrelated to both. It is a fresh start in which four friends, Neenah, Kevin, Eli and the Boss, build an empire from nothing.

How the series got here

Timeline of the Saints Row series from the 2006 original to The Third Remastered on mobile in October 2026
  • 2006–2008: Saints Row and Saints Row 2 establish the formula on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Neither has a modern re-release, so they are not covered here.

  • 2011: Saints Row: The Third goes all-in on absurd comedy and becomes the fan favourite.

  • 2013–2015: Saints Row IV adds superpowers. The Re-Elected edition brings it, with all DLC, to PS4 and Xbox One on 20 January 2015, alongside the standalone add-on Gat out of Hell.

  • 2019–2020: Both games come to Nintendo Switch. Sperasoft's Remastered version of The Third, with rebuilt lighting and models, launches on 22 May 2020, with a free PS5 and Xbox Series X|S upgrade in May 2021.

  • 2022–2023: The reboot launches on 23 August 2022 to mixed reviews, criticised for its writing and launch bugs. Free updates follow, including the Boot Hill update in June 2023, which adds the Cheats App. Steam gets the game on 24 August 2023, and Embracer closes Volition on 31 August 2023.

  • 2026: In May, Embracer's new Fellowship Entertainment lists Saints Row among the dormant brands it intends to "activate" through remasters, new games or licensing. No project has been named. On 29 October, Feral Interactive releases The Third Remastered on iOS and Android with all DLC.

Which Saints Row should you buy?

Comparison of Saints Row: The Third Remastered, Saints Row IV: Re-Elected and Saints Row (2022) with US prices on 1 November 2026

Buy The Third Remastered first. It has the strongest missions, the best-loved characters and every DLC pack, and at $4.49 it is the cheapest way into the series until 5 November. Pick the platform by how you play:

  • PS5 owners: buy it on PlayStation now. One purchase covers PS4 and PS5.

  • PC players: Steam's $29.99 is the list price. Feral's mobile version costs less, but only buy it if you really want to play on a phone.

  • Phone players: the iOS version needs iOS 18 and an A12 chip or newer and takes 20.8 GB. The Android version needs Android 13 and 19.3 GB, and Feral advises keeping about double that free during installation. Both include all DLC.

Then IV Re-Elected. It continues the story directly, but superpowers make cars nearly pointless, so it plays very differently. At $2.99 for the PS4 version (it runs on PS5) it is an easy add-on. On Xbox, the $29.99 bundle with Gat out of Hell is better value than buying the two separately.

Pick Saints Row (2022) only if you want the newest game. It has the best driving, wingsuits and character creator in the series, plus a big desert map. The story and humour are weaker, and reviews at launch were mixed. If you do buy it, the Gold Edition at $9.99 on PlayStation Store US (until 5 November) costs less than the standard game and includes the Expansion Pass.

Skip it if you want a serious crime story. For that, try our Mafia: Trilogy hub or the GTA V hub.

Cheats: a big part of the appeal

Saints Row is one of the few modern open-world series with real cheats. In The Third and IV, open the phone or hub menu, go to Extras › Cheats and type codes such as `cheese` ($100,000) or `letsrock` (all weapons). Any active cheat turns off autosave and achievements, so make a manual save first. The 2022 game has a phone Cheats App with 20 "clean" toggles that keep trophies and 18 "dirty" ones that disable them. In co-op, only the host can switch on dirty cheats. Our Saints Row cheats page lists all 159 working codes and toggles, with a search box and copy buttons.

For players in India

  • Cheapest option right now: The Third Remastered for Rs 299 on PlayStation Store India, until 5 November 2026 at 5:29 am IST. IV Re-Elected is Rs 224 for the PS4 version, and the Saints Row Gold Edition is Rs 832.

  • After the sale: the Android version at ₹549 on Google Play is far cheaper than iOS (₹1,349) and Steam (₹1,680). Saints Row (2022) is cheapest on Steam India at ₹1,680.

  • Switch: there is no Nintendo eShop in India, so on Switch you need an eShop account from another region or an imported cartridge.

  • Language: all three games offer English, but none has a Hindi option.
