Our standards
Editorial policy and corrections
Useful answers, traceable sources and clear limits on what we know.
Sources and verification
News and guides identify official announcements, publisher support pages or platform documentation. A last-verified date records a source check; it is separate from the publication and modification dates. Information can change after that check.
AI and editorial responsibility
AI assists research organization, drafting and editing. AI output is not evidence. Before publication, claims should be compared with the linked primary sources. The NextPlayIntel editorial team is responsible for published coverage.
Experience and uncertainty
Announcement coverage is labelled as such. We do not present trailers as performance tests or imply that we played a game we have not tested. Unconfirmed platforms, specifications and rumours must remain clearly distinguished from confirmed details.
Corrections and updates
Material corrections should identify the changed claim, explain the correction in an article update note and retain the original publication date. Routine formatting changes do not count as a fresh source verification. An updated timestamp alone does not mean every fact has been rechecked.
To report an error, email contact@nextplayintel.com with the article URL and supporting evidence.
Commercial independence
Sponsored coverage and affiliate links, when used, must be clearly disclosed where readers encounter them. Payment must not be presented as independent testing or a guaranteed recommendation.
Image attribution
Captions identify the source of promotional imagery. Custom images need their own accurate credits; an attribution is not a substitute for permission to use an asset.
