Resonance of Fate Enhanced Remaster Out on PS5 and PC

tri-Ace has released Resonance of Fate Enhanced Remaster, a new version of its 2010 gun-combat RPG, on PS5 and PC. It went live on Steam on 29 October 2026 and is listed on the PlayStation Store from 30 October. The US price on PS5 is $34.99, and tri-Ace says owners of the earlier 4K/HD Edition on PS4 or PC can upgrade for $9.99.

The detail that most launch reports miss is how it's sold on Steam. There the Enhanced Remaster isn't a separate game: it's a $9.99 DLC that "applies" to the existing Resonance of Fate 4K/HD Edition, which you need to own. So a new PC player pays $34.99 for the 4K/HD Edition plus $9.99 for the add-on, $44.98 in total, before any sale.

Prices

Official store prices, checked 30 Oct 2026. Steam's India prices total ₹1,258 for a new buyer.

What the remaster changes

According to tri-Ace's store descriptions, the Enhanced Remaster widens the graphics options with native 4K output, HDR and 120 fps support, and upscales character and environment textures. It also adds a 2x game speed option, which should help when replaying battles or levelling up. The Steam listing asks for 90 GB of free space at minimum, so check your drive before you buy.

Background

Resonance of Fate, known as End of Eternity in Japan, was first released by Sega in 2010 on PS3 and Xbox 360. It's set in Basel, a giant tower-machine that keeps a dying Earth habitable, and follows three mercenaries caught up in the politics of the city's ruling class. Its battles mix turn-based planning with acrobatic gunfights. The 4K/HD Edition followed in 2018 on PS4 and PC, and tri-Ace now publishes the game on Steam; this is its second refresh.
