You can own the game or play it through the PS Plus Game Catalog, and the choice decides what happens to Man of Honor.

2K's PlayStation Plus announcement confirms that the catalog version is the PS5 base game only. If you buy Man of Honor separately, you can play it while the game stays in the catalog, and if you later buy the game you keep access to the expansion and your progress.
On Xbox Series X|S
Buy it on the Microsoft Store. On 31 October 2026 the Definitive Edition was $38.99 (list $64.99) until 5 November 2026, 09:59 UTC, the best US price on any platform. The Standard Edition was $49.99.
It is not in Game Pass. You need to own the game. Microsoft lists about 48 GB for the download, so free that much space first.
Link 2K and start playing. The game supports Xbox cloud saves, so your progress follows you between Series X and Series S.

On PC (Steam)
Buy it on Steam ($49.99 Standard, $64.99 Definitive). Steam asks for 55 GB on an SSD. The minimum spec is an Intel Core i7-9700K or Ryzen 7 2700X, 16 GB RAM and an RTX 2070 or RX 5700 XT. The first launch must be online. After that the game mostly runs offline, except after an update or a major hardware change, when it checks in again.

On PS5 Pro the game is PS5 Pro Enhanced, so you get the Pro improvements automatically with no extra setting. The Microsoft Store also lists HDR and Dolby Atmos support for the Xbox version. Whatever your console, check the brightness in the display settings before you start, because the night missions are very dark.
Where Free Ride and Man of Honor live
Free Ride, a free mode since the 20 November 2025 update, is opened from the main or pause menu. Its challenges unlock as you complete story chapters, so you can dip in as you go or wait until the credits.
Man of Honor (from 14 August 2026) appears as its own Main Menu entry once you have finished Chapter 5. You can also start a New Game with the expansion enabled, and its two chapters slot in between the original Chapters 5 and 6.
Photo Mode is in the pause menu under Options, and each platform also has a shortcut that you can toggle in Settings → Controls.
For players in India
Prices on 31 October 2026: PlayStation Store India listed the Standard Edition at Rs 3,799 and the Definitive Edition at Rs 4,799. Man of Honor was Rs 749. On Xbox India the Definitive Edition was ₹2,879.40 (list ₹4,799) until 5 November 2026, 15:29 IST.
PS Plus route: if you already pay for PS Plus Extra or Premium in India, the base game is in the catalog. Check the PlayStation Store app for the "Included" tag before buying.
Release timing: PlayStation Store India unlocked the game at 00:00 IST on 8 August 2025. Steam unlocked at 21:30 IST on 7 August 2025.
Downloads: on slower broadband, start the download overnight and leave the PS5 in Rest Mode with "Stay connected to the internet" enabled.

- Looking for a PS4 or Xbox One version. There isn't one; the game needs a PS5, Xbox Series X|S or PC.
- Expecting PS Plus to include Man of Honor. The catalog has the base game only; the expansion is a separate $9.99 purchase.
- Starting on Classic difficulty. No auto-reload, limited healing and no assists make a first run frustrating; use Medium.
- Buying the Standard disc and expecting the Definitive extras. Only the Standard Edition is on disc; Man of Honor and the packs are digital add-ons.
