Mafia: The Old Country cheats: no codes, plus the legit unlocks

In brief: Mafia: The Old Country has no cheat codes on PS5, Xbox Series X|S or PC. There is no code menu, no button sequences and no console commands, and the 2002 Mafia codes reposted on some sites do nothing. The legitimate shortcuts are the Easy difficulty and assist settings, the free 2K Account rewards (the Garzia Tumulto race car, Lupara Tradituri shotgun and Racketeer outfit), Dinari from Free Ride challenges and Trinacria coins, and the paid item packs. Checked against 2K's official FAQ on 31 October 2026.

People search for "Mafia The Old Country cheats" every week, and plenty of pages answer with lists of codes. Those codes do not exist in this game. This guide explains what is true, what is safe and what actually makes the game easier or gives you more gear. For the series' older games, see our Mafia Trilogy cheats guide. The cheat status for this game also lives on the Mafia: The Old Country cheats page.

Are there cheat codes? The short answer

2K's official FAQ lists every difficulty, accessibility option, reward and currency rule in the game and does not mention cheat codes. The Mafia series fan wiki's Cheats and Exploits page covers only the earlier games and lists nothing for The Old Country. The only Mafia game with real typed cheat codes was the 2002 PC original. Pages that list codes such as old "health" or "all weapons" strings for The Old Country are copying that 2002 list. NextPlayIntel did not find any working code, and we will not publish unverified ones.

The real "easy mode": difficulty and assists

Difficulty is the closest thing the game has to a cheat. 2K describes the four settings like this:

Classic arrived with the free Free Ride update in November 2025 and is aimed at veterans of the 2002 game. On Steam, the True Soldato achievement asks for a Hard playthrough. If you are struggling, lowering the difficulty is allowed, free and instant.

Accessibility options that also make the game easier, all in Settings:

• Customizable aim assist and Simplified Struggle, which automatically completes rapid button-press prompts.

• Skip Drive & Ride, which lets you skip some travel sections.

• Navigation signage, sprint toggle, subtitle size and colourblind UI modes.

Free unlockables you can claim today

The 2K rewards need an internet connection and are limited to one per 2K Account. They then appear in-game automatically. There are no microtransactions: Dinari, the currency, can only be earned by playing.

Paid item packs (not cheats, but shortcuts)

The Definitive Edition bundles three packs that give strong early gear. The Padrino Pack adds the Lupara Speciale shotgun, Vendetti Speciale pistol, Stiletto Speciale knife, Immortale charm and Eckhart Speciale limousine. The Gatto Nero Pack adds the Bodeo Nero pistol and Velocità charm. The Soldato Pack adds the Scannaturi Speciale knife and Lupara charm. 2K notes that DLC knives can be equipped from Chapter 2, after you meet Pasquale. On 31 October 2026 the Padrino and Gatto Nero packs were $4.99 each on Steam US. Man of Honor ($9.99) adds three guns, three knives and five charms.

Ways to earn Dinari faster, legitimately

1. Loot everything. Enemies, lockboxes and safes drop Dinari, and Easy difficulty gives more resources than Hard.

2. Find Trinacria coins. 2K lists them as a collectible that can be exchanged for Dinari.

3. Run Free Ride challenges. Each challenge has three reward tiers, so replay them for the top tier.

4. Do Salieri's Jobs (Man of Honor owners). Cracking safes, stealing high-value cars and moving goods all pay out in Dinari.

5. Spend smartly. Charms on Enzo's rosary give perks. A charm that suits your style is worth more than another pistol.

Collectibles to hunt

2K confirms Notes, Newspapers, Saints' Cards, Photographs, Trinacria coins and Charms, plus a mysterious hidden collectible (the Mystery Fox achievement). Man of Honor adds Wanted Posters, Stunt Jumps and Sulphur Trucks in Free Ride. Since the August 2026 update you can pin collectibles on the Free Ride map to set a marker, which is the closest legitimate thing to a "show all collectibles" cheat.

Achievements and trophies that reward the "cheat-free" way

There is no shortcut to the achievement list either. Steam lists 62 achievements for the game, including the Man of Honor additions. Several of them line up with the unlockables above:

The Hard achievement is tied to playing on Hard, so check its exact wording on your platform before you lower the difficulty. Your unlocked outfits, hats and haircuts carry into a New Game since the 1 September 2026 update, so a second, harder playthrough is easier to gear up for.

Common myths, checked

• "There is a secret code for infinite Dinari." False. 2K says Dinari is earned only through gameplay, and there is no code menu.

• "Pre-order bonuses can still be claimed." The Deluxe Edition is retired. Its items now come in the Definitive Edition packs.

• "PS Plus players get Man of Honor free." False. 2K's PlayStation Plus note says the expansion is excluded and has to be bought separately.

PC trainers and mods: the risks

• Trainers are third-party programs, not supported by 2K or Hangar 13. They can break after every patch (the September 2026 update changed the executable).

• Because the game checks online after an update, a modified install can fail to launch. Back up your save folder first.

• Only download from well-known modding sites. "Cheat generators" that ask for your login or a survey are scams.

• None of this applies on PS5 or Xbox, where trainers cannot run.

For players in India

All of the above applies in India. The Definitive Edition was ₹3,799 on Steam India, Rs 4,799 on PlayStation Store India and ₹2,879.40 on Xbox India (sale until 5 November 2026, 15:29 IST). The free 2K Account rewards work on Indian PSN, Xbox and Steam accounts. Be careful with Telegram or YouTube "unlock all" links, which are a common malware route.
