Hardware and game library
Wii mini is a distinct reduced-feature model. Nintendo states it cannot connect to the internet and does not support GameCube discs or accessories. It was packaged with a red Wii Remote Plus and Nunchuk. Its top-loading design differs from the standard Wii.
Choosing the right model
Check the required accessories for your games. If you need GameCube support, component video or network features, compare an original Wii. Confirm the power supply and AV cable are included. A cheaper incomplete unit may cost more once the motion-control accessories are added.
Model and edition registry
Selected documented models and editions. This registry does not yet include every regional SKU, promotional unit or limited edition.
Nintendo explicitly excludes online features on Wii mini. An Ethernet accessory or a game with an online mode does not override that limitation. The smaller top-loading console is appropriate only when its reduced feature set fits the games and accessories you intend to use.
This hardware record does not yet have a verified GTA compatibility entry. Check the GTA release-platform catalogue before buying it for a particular game. Do not assume support through emulation, streaming or backwards compatibility.
Images identify the pictured hardware; they are not evidence for every variant listed. Missing regional SKUs and undocumented editions remain outside this guide. Send a correction with a source.
