Ubisoft says it has no other Assassin's Creed remake actively in development after Black Flag Resynced. The same franchise update, posted on 29 October 2026 by Head of Content Jean Guesdon, confirms that Assassin's Creed Valhalla gets New Game+ on 5 November and that the next major update on Codename Hexe will come in 2027.

"Our teams are already focused on the next chapter of Assassin's Creed titles, including projects you haven't heard about yet, featuring new settings and stories," Ubisoft wrote. It stopped short of ruling remakes out for good, saying it will "keep exploring opportunities to bring older titles back".

Valhalla New Game+ on 5 November

Ubisoft says Valhalla has passed 40 million players, and New Game+ is arriving years after the game's last major content. It lets you restart Eivor's saga while carrying over much of your progression, with dedicated NG+ scaling. The update also adds:

  • An optional progression mode where gear, runes and masteries all count toward Eivor's overall Power

  • New runes, achievements, a stash system and new rewards, including a Master Assassin outfit based on Naoe's look in Assassin's Creed Shadows

  • Mithril, a new resource for upgrading Divine Gear and strengthening runes

  • Divine Gear quality for all items

Ubisoft hasn't given a release time. It says full patch notes, plus news on updates for current-generation consoles, will follow in the coming days. On Steam, Valhalla's standard edition costs $59.99 (₹2,999 in India).

Invictus, Hexe and the Netflix series

Codename Invictus, the PvP multiplayer project, is being reworked after a private Insiders playtest. Ubisoft says testers liked the parkour and team play but wanted "more of the pillars that define Assassin's Creed", and it warns that information about Invictus online may be outdated. Codename Hexe, described as a darker Assassin's Creed, is making "steady progress", with its next major update planned for 2027.

Production of Netflix's live-action series is nearing completion in Rome, with composer Hannah Peel scoring it, and the franchise turns 20 in 2027 with a year of reveals planned. Black Flag Resynced has received its final major update, which we covered in our Black Flag Resynced 1.0.8 report.
