Rockstar Games has let a new slice of Grand Theft Auto VI gameplay out in an unusual place. The South Park episode "Guinea Pig on a Stick" (season 29, episode 4), which aired on Comedy Central on 28 October 2026, includes roughly 17 seconds of previously unseen GTA VI footage. The end credits read "Grand Theft Auto VI footage courtesy of Rockstar Games, Inc.", so this is licensed footage rather than a leak.
It arrives three weeks before the game launches worldwide on 19 November 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, two weeks after Rockstar's launch trailer on 15 October.
What the clip shows
According to TweakTown and VICE, which both broke down the scene, the footage is set on a busy Vice City beach in third person, with the minimap visible in the corner. Jason and Lucia walk past a man picking up after his dog. Jason throws something at him, and when the man turns to confront them, Jason hits him with the bag of dog waste. Nearby beachgoers react with lines of dialogue.
That's the whole moment. It's short, it's played for laughs in a South Park context, and it doesn't show combat systems, missions or menus. Still, it's real gameplay running in the open world, and it's a rare look at Jason and Lucia moving through a crowded daytime space rather than a staged trailer shot.

Confirmed and unconfirmed
Confirmed: the footage is official and credited to Rockstar Games in the episode's end credits, and it shows Jason and Lucia on a Vice City beach (TweakTown, VICE).
Confirmed: GTA VI launches on 19 November 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S (Rockstar).
Unconfirmed: whether picking up and using a dog-waste bag is a general mechanic or a one-off scripted moment. The clip shows only this single situation, and Rockstar hasn't commented.
Unconfirmed: other claims circulating alongside the clip, including a PC release date. Rockstar has not announced a PC version.

Why it matters
Rockstar has kept GTA VI marketing tightly controlled: two main trailers, a launch trailer and a handful of screenshots on its official site. A licensed placement in a long-running TV show is a different kind of push, aimed at a broad audience in the final stretch before launch. It follows the detailed Edge magazine preview published on 29 October, which described police dogs, a longer day-night cycle and public transport.
