ArcheAge Chronicles Early Access Starts 3 November for $29.99

ArcheAge Chronicles, XLGAMES' Unreal Engine 5 action MMORPG, launches in Steam Early Access on Tuesday 3 November 2026 at 23:00 UTC, which is 6:00 p.m. ET and 3:00 p.m. PT (4:30 a.m. IST on 4 November). It costs $29.99 on Steam US, with regional pricing elsewhere (₹1,349 on Steam India). Pre-orders are open now and include a bonus costume. It's PC-only for now.

Pre-orders opened on Steam on 27 October at 15:00 UTC (11:00 a.m. ET, 8:30 p.m. IST).

XLGAMES announced the date on 27 October, the day after Steam Next Fest ended. The game's demo had finished fifth on Steam's Most Played Demos list. Below: exactly what you get in Early Access, whether your PC can run it, and what XLGAMES still hasn't confirmed, including server regions.

What XLGAMES announced

In a press release dated 27 October 2026 in Seoul, XLGAMES confirmed that ArcheAge Chronicles will enter Early Access on Steam on 3 November at 3:00 p.m. PT (6:00 p.m. ET), as Gematsu also reports. The Early Access package costs $29.99 in the US (Steam US), and XLGAMES says regional pricing varies by market.

Executive producer Yongjin Ham thanked Next Fest players: "We plan to continue incorporating your valuable feedback into regular updates throughout Early Access. Even beyond Early Access, we're committed to staying connected with our players and continuing to improve the game together as we work toward its full potential."

What's in Early Access

According to XLGAMES, Early Access includes three regions, four classes and eight weapons (two per class). The Early Access FAQ on Steam names the regions as Diamond Shores, Gylden Ruins and Astron Plains. Activities include:

• Open-world exploration across the three regions

• Dungeons and raids

• Player-versus-player (PvP) combat

• Housing, crafting and trading, the life-skill side ArcheAge is known for

• Company and guild activities

Combat is built around offence and defence, with parries and cancels at its core. Next Fest players praised the system, along with the UE5 visuals and the PvP, according to XLGAMES. The game is set in Auroria, 50 years after the events of the original ArcheAge, and the Steam page describes a world "brimming with rich lore" for newcomers and series veterans alike. Steam also lists full controller support and Family Sharing.

What's coming at full release

XLGAMES says the full release will add more regions, gender options for characters, a third weapon for each class, refined combat balance and character progression, quality-of-life features, and expanded life skills and community content. A missing gender choice in Early Access could be a deal-breaker for some players, so it's worth knowing before you pay.

PC requirements

These are demanding specs for a 1080p target. Even the minimum needs 16 GB of RAM, an 8 GB graphics card and an SSD, and both tiers assume upscaling is on. In India

• The price is regional. ₹1,349 is far below a straight conversion of $29.99, so Steam India's regional pricing makes this one of the cheaper ways into a new paid MMO.

• It's an early-morning launch. 4:30 a.m. IST on a Wednesday means most players in India will start after work or college. Expect queues and fixes in the first hours.

• Servers are the big unknown. XLGAMES hasn't published an official server-region list. If the nearest servers are in North America, Europe or East Asia, ping from India will be higher, which matters for parries and PvP.

• There's kernel-level anti-cheat. The Steam page lists kernel-level XIGNCODE3 anti-cheat and a third-party EULA. It also carries an AI-generated content disclosure. Read the store page notes if that concerns you.

• There are no Indian language options. The game supports English, Korean, and Simplified and Traditional Chinese.

How to pre-order and play: step by step

1. Open the ArcheAge Chronicles Steam page and check that your PC meets at least the minimum specs.

2. Click Add to Cart ($29.99 in the US, ₹1,349 in India) and pay with any payment method Steam accepts in India, or with Steam Wallet funds.

3. If you've got a Steam Wallet code, redeem it first. Our guide to activating Steam codes explains how.

4. Make sure you have 100 GB free on an SSD. Steam will download the game when Early Access opens, or earlier if XLGAMES enables a preload.

5. Launch at or after 4:30 a.m. IST on 4 November, then claim the Dawn Pioneer Set in-game for the class you choose.

Background

ArcheAge Chronicles is a new game set in the world of XLGAMES' 2013 MMORPG ArcheAge, rebuilt in Unreal Engine 5 with action combat. Its October demo was one of Next Fest's biggest, and on 20 October XLGAMES posted a developer video explaining the Early Access scope, how feedback will shape updates, and the pricing. The 27 October announcement confirmed the date and price.

What's not confirmed yet

• Server regions. There's no official list yet. We've ignored fan-wiki claims.

• Preload. XLGAMES hasn't said whether a Steam preload will be available before 4 November.

• Console versions. Early Access is PC-only, and there's no console date.

• Final price. XLGAMES says the price may change at full release.

• Full release date. XLGAMES only gives an estimate of about 9-12 months of Early Access.
