October catalogue: the announcement date matters
Sony announced its October PlayStation Plus Game Catalog on 14 October 2026. This report was checked on 26 October. The main availability date was 20 October, with exceptions in the announcement. These are catalogue additions; do not assume every game is a Monthly Game claim for the Essential tier.
Extra and Premium additions
The list includes Mafia: The Old Country on PS5, Horizon Forbidden West on PS5 and PS4, and Mycopunk on PS5. Sony also lists The Midnight Walk for PS5, with optional PS VR2 support. Its stated availability was 14 October in the US and UK and 15 October in Japan.
Watch the 27 October listings
Poppy Playtime Chapter 2, Tales of Arise Beyond the Dawn Edition and Monster Energy Supercross 25 have 27 October availability notes for the US, UK and Japan. The first two list PS5 and PS4; Supercross lists PS5. Do not turn those regional notes into a guaranteed India or UAE release time.
Premium classics
Dino Crisis 2 and RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Complete Edition appear in the Premium section for PS5 and PS4. Check the benefits shown for the subscription tier sold in your account region before upgrading.
How to decide what to download first
Our recommendation is to pick one game you want to finish rather than fill the storage drive with the whole announcement. Write down its listed platform, the edition you want and whether you prefer solo or shared play. Compare that shortlist with the games already in your library so an attractive subscription list does not lead you to pay for access you already have.
When a store page shows several versions, slow down at the edition selector. A similarly named base game, upgrade, soundtrack or add-on is not interchangeable. Check the final confirmation screen and the account being used before accepting any purchase. A price on that screen is a reason to investigate, not to assume the subscription discount will appear later.
If a listed game is missing or locked
First compare your account region and tier with the local catalogue. Then use the troubleshooting guides below to separate an entitlement issue from a download problem. Keep the exact error message and the product name; those details are more useful than reinstalling the game repeatedly.
Treat this article as a dated news summary. For a subscription decision, the current local store listing is the final check. We have not tested these games or promised continued catalogue availability.
