Nintendo Indie World Showcase Today: 7:30 PM IST Start Time and How to Watch in India

Nintendo's next Indie World Showcase airs today, Wednesday 28 October 2026, at 7:30 p.m. IST (14:00 UTC). It will run for about 15 minutes and cover "new announcements and updates on indie games coming to Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch". Nintendo announced the show on 27 October through its Nintendo Today app and on social media. You can watch it live on Nintendo's YouTube channels and on Twitch. In India it should finish at around 7:45 p.m. IST.

Indie World start time in India and around the world

Nintendo's own YouTube listing for "Indie World Showcase 10.28.2026" is scheduled for 14:00 UTC. Here's that time in India and other regions. The US is still on daylight saving time this week, but the UK has already moved back to GMT, which is why the UK time is 2 p.m.

What Nintendo has confirmed

• Date and time: 28 October 2026, 7 a.m. PT / 10 a.m. ET, which is 7:30 p.m. IST.

• Length: "roughly 15 minutes" for the western show, in Nintendo's words. Nintendo Japan's version, "Indie World 2026.10.28", starts at the same moment (11 p.m. JST, 7:30 p.m. IST) and runs about 25 minutes, according to Famitsu.

• Content: new announcements and updates on indie games for Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch.

• Where to watch: Nintendo's regional YouTube channels (Americas, Europe, Japan) and Twitch, according to Gematsu. The Nintendo of America stream is already live-scheduled on YouTube.

• How it was announced: first in the Nintendo Today app, then on Nintendo's social channels, as reported by Nintendo Life and Insider Gaming.

Nintendo hasn't shared a game list, and it doesn't usually tease Indie World line-ups in advance. This is the second Indie World of 2026, after the one on 3 March.

How to watch Indie World in India, step by step

1. Open YouTube. Go to the Indie World Showcase 10.28.2026 stream on the Nintendo of America channel and tap "Notify me" for a reminder.

2. Pick your channel. Indian viewers can watch on Nintendo of America or Nintendo UK/Europe. Both are in English. The Japanese stream on Nintendo's Japan channel is in Japanese and, at about 25 minutes, longer.

3. Tune in a few minutes early. The stream page usually goes live just before 7:30 p.m. IST. At 15 minutes, it's easy to miss the start.

4. Check the eShop straight after. Indie Worlds often include "shadow drops", games that go on sale as soon as the show ends. If you see one you want, look in the Nintendo eShop on your Switch or Switch 2 around 7:45 p.m. IST.

5. Catch up later. If you miss it, Nintendo keeps the full video on YouTube, and trailers usually go up on its channels and its Indie World page.

What happened at the last Indie World (March 2026)

The best guide to tonight's show is the previous one. The 3 March 2026 Indie World was also about 15 minutes long and mixed new reveals with games that were released the same day. According to Nintendo Life's full recap, it included:

The Japanese version of the March show also had extra announcements that weren't in the western stream, such as Homura Hime. Tonight's Japanese broadcast is listed at about 25 minutes, compared with about 15 for the western one, so if you follow Japanese indie games it's worth watching that version too.

What this means for players in India

Nintendo doesn't run an official eShop region for India, so the eShop doesn't show prices in rupees. Most Indian Switch owners use an eShop account set to another region, such as the US or UK, and pay in that region's currency. When an Indie World game is announced with a price, it will usually be in US dollars, pounds or euros, and the final cost depends on your card's exchange rate and any foreign transaction fees.

Many Indie World games also come out on PC, so it's worth comparing prices with Steam India. For example, the two shadow drops from March cost ₹1,300 for Blue Prince and ₹690 for Minishoot' Adventures on Steam India when we checked on 28 October 2026. • Payments: Indian debit and credit cards with international transactions turned on generally work on foreign eShops. Nintendo eShop gift cards for the matching region are another option.

What's not confirmed

• Nintendo hasn't revealed any games for this show. Fan wishlists and predictions online are just guesses.

• Nintendo hasn't said whether there will be shadow drops this time, although they've been common in past Indie Worlds.

• Which extra games will fill the longer (about 25-minute) Japanese broadcast. In March, the Japanese show included games that weren't in the western version.

• Regional prices and release dates for anything announced. Those will come with each game's eShop listing.
