Indie World October 2026: Every Game and Release Date

Nintendo's Indie World showcase on 28 October 2026 at 14:00 UTC (10:00 ET) dated Witchbrook for 28 January 2027 on Switch 2 and Switch, and put Sword of the Sea on Switch 2 on 29 October. The roughly 15-minute show featured 16 games with their own trailers, plus a sizzle reel of more indies.

Three of the 16 arrive this year: Sword of the Sea (29 Oct), RACCOIN: Chaos Max Edition (10 Nov) and Spirit Crossing (16 Nov). The rest are 2027 releases, and four games have demos on the eShop now.

Platforms and dates below come from the descriptions on Nintendo of America's official trailers, posted during the show.

Biggest announcements

• Witchbrook: Chucklefish's life sim about a trainee witch in the seaside town of Mossport finally has a date, 28 January 2027, on Switch 2 and Switch. Its Steam page currently lists 27 January, which may be a time-zone difference. Chucklefish has not explained the gap.

• Slime Rancher 2: Monomi Park's sequel comes to Switch 2 in January 2027 with an in-game item only on that version. No exact day yet.

• Sword of the Sea: the surfing adventure from "the visionary artist behind ABZÛ, The Pathless, and Journey", as Nintendo's trailer puts it, lands on Switch 2 on 29 October.

• Spirit Crossing: the life-sim MMO from the makers of Cozy Grove launches on 16 November on Switch 2 and Switch, with pre-orders open.

• Co-op block: Super Battle Golf (25 Mar 2027), Dumpster Gang (March 2027), R.E.P.O. (2027) and Haunted Paws (May 2027) are all built around playing with friends.

Demos you can play now

Nintendo's trailer descriptions say demos are available today for Winds of Viridia, Haunted Paws, Petal Runner and RACCOIN: Chaos Max Edition.

What's still unconfirmed

• Exact days for Slime Rancher 2, Dumpster Gang, Kitsune, Haunted Paws, Threads of Time, City of None, Tenjutsu and R.E.P.O. Only windows were given.

• Prices. Nintendo's trailers did not list any, so we have not included them. Check the eShop in your region.

• Release times. None of the trailers gave a launch hour.

• Petal Runner's date: some early recaps listed 8 March 2027, but Nintendo's official trailer says 28 March 2027 and that it is a Switch 2 exclusive.

Background

This was Nintendo's second Indie World of 2026, after the March show that included the Switch 2 release of Blue Prince. Nintendo announced the October show a day earlier as a roughly 15-minute presentation. We covered the timing in our Indie World time guide.
