How to Redeem Roblox Gift Cards and Promo Codes (Web, Mobile, Console)

Short answer: redeem every Roblox gift card, Robux code and promo code in a web browser at roblox.com/redeem: sign in, type the code, select Redeem. The normal Roblox app on phones, tablets, Xbox, PlayStation and Quest cannot redeem codes; only the Roblox app on Samsung Galaxy devices has a Redeem tile. A gift card adds Roblox Credit (or Robux, for some cards), and a promo code adds a free virtual item. There are no codes for free Robux; anything offering them is a scam.

Gift card vs Robux code vs promo code: what you get

• Roblox Gift Card (physical or digital): adds Roblox Credit to your account. You then spend the credit on Robux or a Roblox subscription, in a browser. Some cards also include a bonus virtual item.

• Robux-only codes: digital codes sold on Amazon, and the cards in Party Packs and Mini Packs, add Robux directly and cannot be turned into Roblox Credit.

• Promo codes: free codes Roblox hands out at events and giveaways. They unlock a virtual item (sometimes credit or Robux, depending on the code), and they usually work only for a short time.

• In-experience game codes (for example Sailor Piece or Dead by Daylight codes) are different: you type those inside the game, not on roblox.com/redeem. See our free codes hub.

How to redeem on web (PC, Mac, Chromebook, or a phone browser)

1. Open a browser and go to roblox.com/redeem.

2. Log in to the Roblox account you want the value on. Credit and Robux go to whichever account is signed in, so check the username first.

3. Type the code or PIN in the box, exactly as printed.

4. Select Redeem. A confirmation message appears when the credit, Robux or item has been added.

5. For Roblox Credit: on the same page select Get Robux (or open roblox.com/upgrades/robux to pick a different package), then Buy. Unused credit stays on the account.

How to redeem on mobile

iPhone, iPad and most Android phones: the Roblox app has no redeem option. Open Safari or Chrome on the same device, go to roblox.com/redeem, sign in and follow the web steps above. The Robux then show up in the app.

Samsung Galaxy: open the Roblox app, go to the More page, tap the Redeem tile, enter the code and confirm.

How to redeem on console (Xbox, PlayStation, Meta Quest)

Roblox says redemption is not available on consoles. Use a browser on any phone or computer, sign in at roblox.com/redeem with the same Roblox account you play on, and redeem there. Robux are tied to your Roblox account, so they appear on your console after you restart the game. Roblox Credit itself can only be spent in a browser.

Region and currency notes

• Roblox says all Roblox codes can be redeemed worldwide, so a card bought in another country works on your account.

• The value converts to your account's local currency when you redeem it (see roblox.com/giftcardterms for how conversion works).

• Cards cannot be split; each one redeems for its full value. You can redeem as many cards as you like, one at a time.

• Roblox does not refund gift cards, and codes are not redeemable for cash except where the law requires it.

Common errors and fixes

• "Invalid code": check for look-alike characters. Roblox suggests trying O for 0, I for 1, Z for 2, S for 5, G or Q for 6, and B for 8.

• "Already redeemed": the value may be on another account you use, so check their balances. If the card was sealed when you bought it, contact Roblox Support with the receipt.

• Promo code expired: promo codes are time-limited and stop working once their window ends. Check your inventory in case you already own the item.

• No Robux after redeeming a gift card: gift cards add Roblox Credit, not Robux. See "Available Credit" under the Redeem button, or your balance in Billing Settings, then convert it with Get Robux.

• Can't find the redeem button in the app or on console: that is expected; use a browser (or the Samsung Galaxy app).

• Bought an e-gift card on roblox.com and can't find the PIN: those are sold through Roblox's partner CashStar; use the CashStar support form.

• Still stuck: contact Roblox Support with your username, the card PIN and serial number, the receipt, photos of the card and a screenshot of the error.

How to spot Roblox code scams

• There are no free Robux codes, generators or tricks. Roblox says any person, video, website or game offering free Robux or a free subscription is a scam meant to take your account.

• Only type codes on roblox.com/redeem, and only enter your password on the real Roblox login page.

• Never give gift card numbers or photos of a card to anyone, and never use a Roblox card to pay a debt or buy something that is not Roblox.

• Ignore links from other players that take you off Roblox, and people claiming to be Roblox staff without the Admin badge.

• Report scams with Report Abuse in the app or experience menu; in the US, gift card scams can also be reported at ftc.gov/giftcards.
