PS5 Prism Collection: Transparent DualSense Is $84.99

Sony has announced the Prism Collection, a line of transparent DualSense controllers and PS5 console covers in Flare Orange, Emerald Green and Graphite Gray. The controllers cost $84.99 and the covers $74.99 in the US. Pre-orders open on 10 November 2026, and the collection launches from 4 February 2027, Sony's Isabelle Tomatis wrote on the PlayStation Blog on 28 October.

Sony says the controllers will be sold globally. The covers are sold only through PlayStation Direct where it operates, and in limited quantities at selected retailers elsewhere.

Official prices

These are Sony's recommended retail prices. Sony notes that actual retailer prices and availability may vary.

When pre-orders open

• United States: 10 November at 15:00 UTC (7:00 PT / 10:00 ET) on PlayStation Direct and at participating retailers.

• UK and Europe: 10 November at 10:00 local time on PlayStation's own store in the UK, France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.

• Elsewhere: 10:00 local time at participating retailers. Sony says exact launch dates can vary by country.

What's different about the design

Sony's colour, material and finish designers say the look revives the see-through hardware trend of the late 1990s. The high-gloss clear shell extends across the back of the controller, and a metallic middle cover ties the surfaces together. Designer Satoshi Aoyagi says the orange "takes on a rosy hue" where the clear material overlaps.

What's not confirmed

• Prices and dates for India, Australia and other regions without PlayStation Direct. Sony's post lists only US, euro, UK and Japanese prices.

• Which PS5 models the covers fit. Sony's post does not name a model, so check the listing before you pre-order.

Regional note: US pre-orders open at 8:30 PM IST on 10 November. Sony has not announced Prism Collection pricing or a date for India.
