There are no confirmed GTA 6 cheat codes. As of 29 October 2026, Rockstar has not announced any cheats for Grand Theft Auto VI, or said whether the game has a cheat system at all. Its official GTA VI site and support page on platforms and editions do not mention cheats. The game launches on 19 November 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only, so any list of "GTA 6 cheats" published before then is a guess, usually GTA V's codes with a new title.

|---|---|

A rumour that leaked GTA VI files contain a "Cheat Activated" message comes from fan posts with no traceable source. We treat it as unconfirmed.
How cheats worked in earlier Rockstar games
Every mainline GTA since GTA III has had cheats, but each game had its own codes and its own input method. That history is a reason to expect cheats in GTA VI, not proof of them, and none of the older codes can be assumed to carry over.
Game | How you entered cheats | Notes |
|---|---|---|
GTA III, Vice City, San Andreas | Button sequences on console; typed words on PC | Codes differed between PlayStation, Xbox and PC versions |
GTA IV (2008) | Dialling numbers on the in-game phone | Numbers you dialled were stored in the phone for reuse |
GTA V (2013) | Button sequences, typed PC commands, and phone numbers from 2014 versions | Rockstar: saving still works, achievements are off until you reload or restart |
Red Dead Redemption 2 (2018) | Cheat phrases found in the world, then turned on in the Settings menu | A different system: cheats are unlocked, not just typed |
GTA V is the closest guide to Rockstar's current approach. Its support article on cheats says you can still save with cheats on, achievements are temporarily disabled, some cheats are refused during certain moments, and reloading a save or restarting clears them. Our GTA V cheats guide lists every PS5, Xbox and PC code.
GTA V codes you will see passed off as GTA 6 cheats
These four are GTA V codes. They are the ones most often copied into "GTA 6" lists. Shown here so you can recognise them, not because they work in GTA VI.

How to spot a fake GTA 6 cheat list
It lists working codes before 19 November 2026. Nobody outside Rockstar has played the finished game.
The codes match the GTA V table above.
It offers codes for PC, PS4 or Xbox One. GTA VI is announced only for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
It asks you to download a file, install an app or enter account details. Console cheats are entered in the game, never installed; treat these as scams.
It promises money or GTA Online items. No GTA V cheat ever worked online, and money cheats were not in GTA V at all.
What to do on PS5 and Xbox until launch
Nothing needs setting up for cheats. If cheats exist, they will be entered inside the game after it unlocks on 19 November 2026. Based on GTA V, keep a separate save before experimenting so a cheat session never overwrites your main progress. Until then, the useful launch jobs are the preload at local midnight on 12 November and clearing storage.
We will update this page with the codes once Rockstar announces them or they are documented in the released game, each marked with its source.
