Rockstar Support lists 12 November 2026 at local midnight for GTA 6 preload. Downloading ahead of release is preparation, not permission to start playing early.
Digital order or boxed code?
The official editions guidance says the physical version contains a download code, not a disc. Availability for shipping or pickup is expected from 12 November; receipt of an individual order depends on the retailer.
Before the download window
Sign in to the account used for your order and confirm the purchase appears in your library or order history.
Check that the code or edition matches your platform and account-region requirements. Resolve a mismatch with the seller before redemption.
Check the current console listing for storage requirements. Leave room for the listed installation and updates rather than relying on a social-media estimate.
Use a stable connection and review your console’s power and download settings. Check progress in the download queue.
If the download does not appear
Confirm the date, account and product first. For a boxed order, check whether you have received and redeemed its code. A shipping estimate is not a guarantee that a code is already available in your account. Use platform support for account or redemption errors rather than sharing sign-in details with a seller.
We have not measured a download size or tested preload. See the official purchase routes and release briefing before making plans.
